Saturday 090425
Today was a good day of working out and a week of solid workouts. It has really been tough for me the past week but it is just my time to start pulling back on the reins. I have two more workouts, a rest day, then two more workouts before I really start to taper off. This will hopefully start to let my body heal fully from these long months of training. I am so excited and ready to put all this hard work to an actual competition. I am really excited for my athletes and their upcoming experience with CrossFit. It will be a lot of fun to see them do well and make a statement that CrossFit Omaha is the real deal. I am really going to try and hone in on my eating and see what that does for me. It can’t hurt so I might as well get strict.
As you can see, it has been really busy these past few weeks which hasn’t allowed me to post anything. I have been working on a lot of things as well as getting myself ready for competition. I just hosted a nutrition seminar today with about twenty people sitting in and it was a huge success. I felt I got through to everyone and I love to be able to stand up and talk to people about how to eat and what makes everything fit nicely together to make the zone, paleo, or zone-paleo work for them. It is my true joy. I love talking about nutrition. I just need to follow it more closely because I get a little crazy sometimes and fall off the wagon too much. I know i don’t feel good when I eat incorrectly but it is really hard sometimes to just say no. I know I can do it though, I just need to quit being a lazy ass. I’ll get it done because it may mean a spot at the CrossFit World Championships. Just gotta fucking do it.
Saturday’s WOD
For time:
800 meter run
3 rounds of:
5 Power Snatch, 60kg
15 HSPU’s
20 2-fer-1 Wall Ball Shots
800 meter run.
Time: 19:3something
I was okay with how this workout went. I went hard but my back really tightened up and I can’t stand when that happens. It was a result of arching too much on hspu’s which for the first time, I went super narrow in terms of my hand placement and it showed. I am glad we did it this way though. This really affected my wall ball shots as my back was rock tight and would not let go. The last 800 meters was a bitch. I finished under 20 minutes though and that was what I was shooting for. I know I can do better but I can also feel the tiredness in my body. I feel I am peaking and will be ready to go. No matter what the workouts will be. Watch out.
